Great meal super fast service on a lovely sunny day
What a find! My wife and I loved your gasthaus with authentic Viennese charm, without any unnecessary renovation. The service was excellent, friendly and accommodating of our meagre German (!), and the food... Schnitzel great value, and with vegetarian choices too (including perch or hake). Highly recommended!
THE PORTIONS ARE HUGE! €14.90 gets you a nice slab of spare ribs with chili sauce, tartare sauce and potato wedges. €9.50 gets you a large are of fried chicken liver which is very delicious! The restaurant is a cosy and clean pub with nice lighting at lunchtime. Would skip the €3.50 beef soup as it just tastes like salt water.
Food was good but service was atrocious. The waitress seemed annoyed that we dared try to eat without being fluent in German. Annoyed when we asked if they have menus in english: "why dont we use our phones to google translate". She was "kind" enough to add the tip for service to the bill without asking.
100% Austrian bar, very cool beer and dishes. It places near to international bus station. Not so expensive, and have a big portions. Very cosy interior, a lot of local guests, and kind host will make you feel like in a true pub!
Really special place where to have a dinner during a visit in Wien!
Don't let yourself be fooled by the outside appearances! It it actually a restaurant with a 5 stars cousine! The plates were huge, almost like a normal double portion ... and so delicious!
I highly recommend the Puten Cordon Bleau with mushrooms and the Berner Würstel ;)
The 4 starts I gave are only because of the lights, that are a little to dimmed for a full eye - satisfaction .. if you know what I mean ;)
